Experience the most beautiful sceneries in Finnish Lakeland on the Puumala Archipelago Route. Cycle through beautiful islands and ridges with magnificent lake views. The archipelago route in Puumala is a spectacular scenic trail for cyclists and motorcyclists. The 60-km circular route winds through some of the most breath-taking islands, bridges and eskers in the Saimaa region. It is possible to cycle the route in one day, but there is plenty to see, do and experience along the route, so it is worth taking several days to complete the trip. The route mainly follows various asphalted roads. Along the way, there are two short (approximately 2 km and 4 km) sections of gravel track. The Norppa II ferry takes bikers to and from the Hurissalo and Lintusalo islands. Departures daily from Lintusalo at 12 am. and from Hurissalo 1 pm. Tickets can be purchased on board with a debit or credit card. We recommend reserving the ferry place beforehand.
