The Lappeenranta Sandcastle is erected on the fortress headland every summer. The whole family attraction is also center of tourism services. The City of Lappeenranta provides tourist information services for the Sandcastle area. There's also e.g. a pop-up them park complex Pomppulinnamaailma and a rental point with the possibility to hire bicycles, kayaks, SUP boards, or a row boat.
