Kekri - Harvest festival in Pien-Toijola Open Air Museum

The Pien-Toijola Open Air Museum celebrates the harvest with theme "Grains of the Water" and offers an opportunity for local inhabitants and seasonal guests to enjoy music, food and togetherness. The program contains information on fishing methods throughout the ages. The event will be hosted by The Ristiina Heritage Association with rural community actors in Someenjärvi. Program for children, local food and handicrafts for sale.

This year a special tasting menu "If we just could have fish", which in the Savonian dialect translates to the saying "kuha o kalloo" offers Kekri visitors a possibility to enjoy food prepared by Chef Ilkka Arvola. As a participant of the "Treasures of the Saimaa Forests" Theme Week this Kekri pilots a traditional fish platter featuring local fish and seasonal produce .
