Ihmekollektiivi will once again organize a dance event at the Kaipola pavilion on Saturday 20 July 2024. Just like the event a couple of years ago, there will be free dance lessons first, where you can practice ballroom dancing Cha cha, bugg and slow waltz led by teacher Jorma Hokkanen and his teaching partner Raakel Hokkanen. After classes, the evening culminates in dances, where the pop song ensemble Helminauha performs as an orchestra.

The event is a continuation of the 2022 Step to dance romance event, which had many participants of many ages. "We want to continue to keep the stage dance tradition alive by producing dance experiences and new dance experiments for a wide audience, and especially encourage young people to try stage dance", says Mari Hiltunen, board member of Ihmekollektiivi, who is producing the event.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Kaipola Pavilion, and its production has received a grant from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
